The enigma: can Jarryd Hayne spark a Blues revival? Photo: Getty Images
The latest news for Origin II as the NRL as clubs name their sides for round 16.
Talkin’ Teams: Just over 24 hours until kick-off. As much as I’d like to see NSW win the series, let’s hope it’s not tomorrow night. Could you imagine how big the build-up to game three will be if it’s 1-1 heading to Sydney on July 17? But if NSW do win, what does Laurie Daley do with his side for game three? Does Jarryd Hayne come back into the side or does Dugan make way for him? We’ll debate all the big issues in rugby league over the next few hours. As usual we’ll have all the NRL teams as they are named and voting for team of the week.

Talkin’ Teams: Sydney Roosters prop Martin Kennedy will miss up to 12 weeks, due to a knee injury the NRL club announced on Tuesday.Kennedy hyperextended his knee in the final minutes of the Roosters 20-18 win over Canterbury on Friday, with the injury robbing him of a possible State of Origin debut after the 24-year-old was initially named as Queensland’s 18th man for Wednesday night’s second State of Origin match in Brisbane. The Roosters said Kennedy requires surgery on his knee which will determine the extent of the injury and he is expected to miss between eight and 12 weeks. The injury is a significant blow to the Roosters who sit third on the NRL ladder and have had to cope with the loss of props Sam Moa (knee, ankle) and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves in recent weeks.Moa returned two weeks ago in the round 14 loss to the Warriors while Kiwi Test prop Waerea-Hargreaves will return from a five-game suspension for a high tackle on Manly’s George Rose in Monday night’s fixture against the Sea Eagles.
Talkin’ Teams: So if NSW win game two does Jarryd Hayne come into the side on the wing or does he get back his No.1 jersey? Win or lose, Hayne should be the Blues’ fullback for game three. If Laurie Daley wants to keep Dugan in the side then either play him on the wing or replace Josh Reynolds and use Dugan as a super-sub. Do you agree that Hayne deserves his jersey back?null
